Aggressive Goes The Distance...
Recently we inspected a house which did not have a high
roof line. It is the type of house that has an attic you can only crawl
in. On our first look we could not find the access hatch. So we
asked the current homeowner where the attic hatch was. The homeowner stated
for as long as he lived there he didn't know of one.
Home inspectors are tough in schools and in seminars to
state in their reports that “We were unable to entered the attic due to the
lack of an entry point to the attic. Its called "CYA “Cover Your Ass” cya, because the inspector did not inspect the
attic.
After moving some towels to the side we observed molding in
the middle of the hallway closet 1st picture.

Why is there molding in the middle of the closet and what are the screws securing?

After getting permission from the current homeowner we
removed the closet belongings. And guest what we found, an access hatch, 3rd
picture.

We removed the screws and entered the attic 4th picture.

What we found was MOLD, 5th picture.

We placed a moisture meter in the roof. The red reading
indicated a serious moisture problem. This problem was causes by a lack of
adequate ventilation. This would have been missed if the attic wasn't entered.

We believe in CYA. But not at your expense.
This is just another example how Aggressive goes the extra distance for their
